Anand Bhardwaj, Founder & CEO
“Excellence is not a skill, it’s an attitude.”
For over four decades, I walked the corridors of the corporate world, learning, growing, and shaping brands across industries. From Lintas, Godfrey Phillips, Electrolux to HT Media and the Dalmia Bharat Group, every role deepened my understanding of business, people and what truly creates impact.
One of my significant experiences was leading the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit from its inception in 2003 to 2018—an initiative that brought thought leaders together to inspire change.
My journey began at St. Columba’s High School, followed by St. Stephen’s College, the Delhi School of Economics, and IIM Calcutta. But learning never stops. In 2021, I pursued a postgraduate diploma in digital business with Emeritus, in collaboration with Columbia Business School and MIT Sloan, further honing my understanding of the digital landscape.
After 41 years in the corporate world, I felt the time had come to build something of my own. The Posh Monk wasn’t just an idea—it was a vision I had nurtured for over 15 years. I wanted to create something that stood for simplicity, sophistication and timeless quality. Good entrepreneurship, I believe, isn’t about chasing trends—it’s about solving real problems, crafting experiences that resonate and staying true to values that endure.
For me, three principles guide everything I do:
✔ If something is worth doing, it’s
worth doing well.
✔ Simplicity is the ultimate
sophistication.
✔ Excellence is not a skill—it’s an
attitude.
With The Posh Monk, my goal is to redefine fine living, not through excess, but through thoughtful details, impeccable craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to quality. I see entrepreneurship as a journey of purpose—one where success is measured not just in numbers, but in the trust and delight of those
we serve.

Ved Shukla, Co-Founder
With a career spanning three decades, I have evolved from a marketing professional into an entrepreneur, mentor, business consultant and podcast host. I began my journey in concept sales before transitioning into marketing, working with companies like Sterling Holidays, Mahindra Holidays, IL&FS, and HT Media.
At HT Media, I met my Co-Founder, Anand, who became not just a boss but a mentor and collaborator. Together, we worked on major initiatives, including the HT Leadership Summit and the launch of HT in Mumbai, managing brands across North, Central, and Western India.
After leaving HT Media in 2008, I founded my own media and marketing solutions company, continuing my entrepreneurial journey. My friendship with Anand remained strong, as he became a key advisor in my ventures.
A decade ago, I launched Mylomart, envisioned as an “Amazon for Brick-and-Mortar retail.” Over the years, I navigated the challenges of scaling, raising funds, and steering the business through the pandemic. The experience has been a relentless yet rewarding journey of learning and growth.
In recent years, I have been an advisor to BW Retail World, the retail vertical of BW Business World, one of India’s most respected business publications. This role has allowed me to interact with industry veterans, study legacy retailers, and understand the rise of new-age startups and D2C brands. As a Hotel Management graduate, my training at The Taj Hotel instilled in me the value of customer-centricity.
Now, with The Posh Monk, Anand and I are building a brand that embodies simplicity with sophistication—offering products that reflect luxury without excess. Our mission is to help individuals express this philosophy through the way they live and what they wear.
